Copyright & DMCA Policy
We respect intellectual property and expect our community to do the same. Here is how to report infringement and how the process works.
Respecting copyright
Adoona hosts content created by our users. You may only post content you created or have the right to share. Posting content that infringes someone else's copyright or other intellectual-property rights violates our Terms and Community Guidelines. We respond to clear notices of alleged infringement in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and similar laws.
Reporting infringement (takedown notice)
If you believe content on Adoona infringes a copyright you own or control, send a written notice to our Designated Copyright Agent (below). To be valid under the DMCA (17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3)), your notice must include all of the following:
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
- Identification of the infringing material and enough detail to locate it (for example, the username and a link or description of the specific video, comment, or profile).
- Your name, address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
How to send a notice
Email your notice to our Designated Copyright Agent, or report the content in the app: open the content, tap Report, and choose Copyright or IP infringement.

What happens next
When we receive a valid notice, we remove or disable access to the reported material expeditiously and notify the user who posted it, who may submit a counter-notification. We may also remove content and limit accounts at our discretion to protect rights holders and our community.
Counter-notification
If your content was removed and you believe this was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the agent above. Under the DMCA (17 U.S.C. § 512(g)), it must include:
- Identification of the material that was removed and the location where it appeared before removal.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate court and will accept service of process from the party who filed the original notice.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
If we receive a valid counter-notice, we may restore the content in 10 to 14 business days unless the original complainant notifies us that they have filed a court action to keep it down.
Repeat infringers
We have a repeat-infringer policy. Accounts that are the subject of repeated valid copyright notices will be suspended or terminated in appropriate circumstances.
Misrepresentations
Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), anyone who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or was removed by mistake, may be liable for damages. Please make sure your claim is accurate before submitting.
