Community Guidelines
The rules that keep Adoona safe and respectful for everyone.
Be respectful
No harassment, bullying, hate speech, threats, or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, nationality, gender, or background. Treat everyone with good manners (adab) and assume the best of one another.
Honor the faith
Do not mock, insult, or misrepresent Islam, the Prophets (peace be upon them), the Quran, or other people's beliefs. Disagree on religious matters respectfully, and avoid sectarian attacks or stirring division.
Keep it modest and clean
No nudity, sexual or suggestive content, profanity, or vulgarity. Share content that reflects the modesty (haya) of a faith-centered community.
Be truthful and authentic
Do not spread misinformation. Do not attribute false statements to Allah, the Prophet (peace be upon him), or the scholars, and verify the authenticity of any hadith you share. Citing sources is strongly encouraged.
No impersonation
Do not pretend to be another person, scholar, or organization, or otherwise misrepresent who you are.
Protect privacy
Do not share other people's private information (doxxing), and do not record or post anyone without their consent.
Protect minors
There is zero tolerance for content that sexualizes, endangers, or exploits children. We remove such content, ban the accounts involved, and report apparent child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and law enforcement. Adoona is not intended for young children. To report a child-safety concern, use the in-app Report tool or email support@adoona.com.
No dangerous or harmful content
No promotion of violence, extremism, terrorism, self-harm, suicide, dangerous "challenges," or instructions intended to harm people.
No spam, scams, or illegal activity
No spam, deceptive schemes, or fraud, and no sale or promotion of unlawful or haram goods and services, including drugs, intoxicants, weapons, or gambling.
Respect intellectual property
Only post content you created or have the right to share. Do not steal or repost others' work as your own.
Honest commerce
Business listings, sponsorships, and promotions must be truthful, clearly identified, and not misleading.
Help moderate
Report content that breaks these rules and block abusive users. Our team reviews reports, typically within 24 hours, and every uploaded video is automatically screened before it appears.
Consequences
Violations can lead to content removal, warnings, suspension, or permanent removal from the community. We may also remove content and report unlawful activity to the relevant authorities.
